About the Strata

The Snow Pine Estate is looked after by its own “strata corporation”, called Snow Pine Strata Administration. This sub division is the largest in Big White, and consists of  123 separate lots; chalets, duplexes or condominiums.

The owner of each individual strata lot has one vote within the corporation. Through the payment of  annual “Strata Fees” by every lot owner,  the strata corporation then allocates and manages services and maintenance in all common areas, such as road maintenance and snow removal.

The council hold meetings every month to discuss ongoing Strata Business, such as By-Law enforcement, general maintenance, landscaping and lot cleanliness.

Every year, prior to the Strata Fees being announced, they hold an AGM (annual general meeting) whereby any new by-laws etc are discussed and then voted on. All lot members are encouraged to attend these meetings, so they may cast their votes. Alternatively, votes may be accepted by “proxy” on the appropriate documentation.
